Going for the Goal Luncheon

Friday, October 26, 2007

11:30 a.m. ~ Peachtree Ballroom at the Westin Peachtree Plaza

Cy Strickler has been chosen by GOAL (A Girl's Journey of Growth) as a 2007 honoree for his groundbreaking vision - providing a girl-specific approach to athletic and personal development. As President and founder of Tophat Soccer Club, Cy Strickler has impacted thousands of girls' lives. Through their association with Tophat, girls gain confidence in their abilities and develop leadership skills.

Cy, and the other 2007 honorees, will be recognized on Friday, October 26, 2007 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the Peachtree Ballroom at the Westin Peachtree Plaza. This annual event honors five individuals who have contributed to the development of healthy young women and girls.

Other honorees include Eve Ensler, keynote speaker and founder of V-day.org; Stacey Abrams, Georgia State Representative and CEO of Sage Works LLC; BryAnn Chen, Executive Director of Women's Refugee Network; and Gretchen Collings, Program Manager with Raytheon and innovator of the Girl's Leadership Summit in Waltham, MA.

The Going for the GOAL Luncheon is the signature fundraising event for GOAL, an organization that promotes self-esteem, self-awareness and respect for individual differences in girls and young women, resulting in an enhanced capacity for leadership.

Please join us at the Going for the GOAL Luncheon as we celebrate Cy Strickler's commitment to the development of strong, competent and resilient young women and girls.
